Facts On File recently introduced integrated access for News Services and Reference database customers.
The new Facts On File Available Databases Page allows all users easy access to all their authorized Facts On File databases. Users of more than one News Services database can jump-start research by clicking on the News Services Cross-Search link. The resulting page allows users to search any combination of authorized News Services databases.
Combined search results appear on an All Results tab at the left of the Search Results page. Each database's results appear separately under other tabs. The Reference Shelf tab displays Almanac and Encyclopedia results. Clicking on a result from any tab will bring up the content within its database, in a new window. Clicking on the original window will return the user to the cross-search Search Results.
From the Available Databases page and the News Services Cross-Search page, users also have direct access to the home page of any authorized News Services database.
